Forensic science updates for the legal profession and attorneys will be presented by the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science at the University of New Haven on these topics that are of continued and emerging interest and debate:

  • Present and Future of Forensic Evidence in Court
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and DNA mixtures: Overview of probabilistic genotyping programs and recent developments
  • Screening tests and confirmatory tests for biological fluids
  • Drugs – understanding presumptive field testing and its pitfalls vs. confirmatory laboratory testing
