Cold Case Investigations

COPS has provided funding to create The Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science National Cold Case Center. The Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science National Cold Case Center works exclusively with law enforcement agencies to provide assistance in resolving old homicide and serious assault cases.

This assistance is two fold:
1) Training at no cost to the sending agency other than transportation, lodging and per diem. Please register online to be included in our database. Current classes are filled. More classes may be offered depending on grant funding. All classes will be held at the Institute facility in West Haven, CT. Please contact Peter Massey at pmassey@newhaven.edu for registration confirmation and details.

Each class is limited to qualified officers on a first come basis. We are now accepting registrations for these class and will inform you of the dates available to you.

2) Case evaluation and recommendation. This service is provides on a case by case basis at no cost the agency. We cannot accept cases from individuals. Please contact Dr. Albert Harper at aharper@newhaven.edu for additional information.
