8 am – Noon Documenting the Fire Scene A comprehensive examination of proper fire scene documentation including the latest trends with cameras, digital photography, lenses, lighting, composition and technique, video photography, what to document, note taking and drawings will all be discussed in depth.

12:30-4:30 Fire Scene Reconstruction This workshop will include discussions on the principles of reconstruction, basic fire dynamics, fire pattern analysis, arson scene analysis and case studies. The University of New Haven's Mark Levy Burn Lab will be used as a teaching tool.

8 am- Noon Determining the Area of Origin This presentation will cover the systematic process and procedure for determining the area of origin at any fire scene. Case studies will be presented as well.
12:30-4:30 Appliance and Motor Vehicle Fire Investigation This intense class will cover the unique facets of appliance fires and motor vehicle fire investigation. Evidence recovery and actual case studies will also be discussed.
