Fire, arson, and explosion investigations are some of the most challenging cases. This course will examine the causes of arson fires and explosions and will focus on the evidence and investigative process. Also included will be the background and financial investigative aspects, and the determination of motive, means, and opportunity. This course will be useful to both the fire service and the police investigators. POST credit will be sought for police officers.
