The Forensic Science for Teachers course is an annual event designed for high school, middle school teachers, and college professors who would like to learn the principles of forensic science and crime scene investigation. The course covers the areas of forensic science that would be encountered in the field, such as forensic biology, chemistry, physics, trace evidence, biological evidence, fingerprints and pattern evidence. Laboratory exercises are held to provide the teachers with a hands on training experience. The labs can be tailored to bring back to the school for use in teaching students.
One of the principles of the course is to teach the sciences through forensic science. Lecturers include the instructors from the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science and professors from the University of New Haven.
Payment of tuition is accepted in the form of checks, credit cards, or purchase orders.
