26th Annual Arnold Markle Symposium

Topic: Investigating Fire and Arson Related Deaths
The late State’s Attorney, Arnold Markle, for whom the Symposium is named, was a proponent of police training and a prosecutor dedicated to the law and the truth. The Symposiums are dedicated to his memory and quest for excellence.
This year’s speakers will include noted international and national fire and arson investigators, who have researched and published on the topic, and law enforcement, fire, and industry experts in fire and arson investigation. Dr. Henry C. Lee, founder of the Institute, will address the fire and crime scene investigation as well as evidence and reconstruction. Dr. John D. DeHaan, a noted author and expert in fire investigation, will specifically address fire and arson death investigation.
Tuition remains affordable for all, according to the vision of Arnold Markle, former State’s Attorney and adjunct professor. The cost for the two days is $189.00 per person, and for agencies that register five attendees, the fifth person attends at no cost. (For enrolled University of New Haven students the tuition will have scholarship applied and will be $99.00). There will be an included reception at the end of the first day of the Symposium.
